Happy 1st Birthday!

As of 3:09 p.m. yesterday, my little stinker was officially 1 year old!! I still can't believe her birthday is here. It just seems like yesterday I was in the hospital holding my new precious baby. And now....well, she is 1! We had an awesome time at her birthday party, and you can tell from the pic that our theme was Minnie Mouse! She just loves Minnie! Everyone showed up around 2 o'clock and mingled and snacked. We ate first and enjoyed some hot diggity dogs courtesy of our own Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!! Next, we let Keagan blow out her candle and dig in to her own little cake made by mommy. She had one Minnie Mouse outfit to begin the festivities, and another Minnie Mouse outfit to change into after she tore apart her own little Minnie Mouse cake. =) She had this stuff everywhere!! Her sleeves went from pink to black in a matter of a minute. She was a little unsure what to do at first, but with the persuasion of big sister, she quickly figured out it was to make a mess!! After everyone enjoyed some of the cake and ice cream, we opened gifts! And wow did she make out!! She was soooo funny. I had to put the presents back in the bag and out of sight to get her to focus on the next present!! Thanks guys. It was really nice to just hang out and talk and see everyone. Get updated on everyone's babies and current pregnancies. Keagan played the rest of the afternoon, and if you read my previous blog, she took her first two steps! It was the most amazing thing in the world. And there was a crowd full of people to see. I knew she was going to be my little showstopper!!

What an awesome day!!

We had a ton of guests, gifts, food, cake, ice cream, and good times were had by all. Thank you to all of you who came and thank you for all the amazing gifts. I was really suprised, but somehow we did not get one thing duplicated between all the christmas and birthday presents. So...good job guys. =)

I had about 300 pictures from the party, so I decided to do something similiar to the picture insert that was in the invitation and create some collages. Then, I added some extra pictures. We are so blessed to have two amazing children, amazing friends and family, and the ability to celebrate with all of them.

Birthday steps....

I have a ton of pictures to show from Keagan Jade's first birthday, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. When I'm not so tired. I do, however, have to share the best birthday present of all. Among all of the crowd, after opening her birthday presents, my little stinker stood up like she has been doing for some time now......but this was different. With everyone watching she took her FIRST two steps!! My heart just about sank in my chest. My little stinker is starting to walk!!!! OH MY FREAKIN GOD!!!!! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!! She is growing up on me. But....How absolutely cool is it that her first steps came on her first actual birthday? That one is going to be easy to remember for the baby book. It was by far the best birthday present and the highlight of my day. I can't believe a year has already gone by and how fast Keagan is growing. She is doing something new all the time!! We have been so blessed to have such a sweet, beautiful, heathly, loving little baby and I can't wait for many more years to come!!!

My husband is better than yours....

Just kidding....well not really. =) I guess I'm partial.

So, my original birthday present was suppose to be the camera I have been dying for, the Nikon D60 10.2 megapixel Digital SLR Camera & 18-55mm Lens. Yes people, this is one bad mamma jamma. =) But with the cost of the camera and christmas around the corner....I said no way. I would just have to wait. Hence, the husband went out and bought the far less expensive shoes that I have been wanting, a wonderful present and something I was totally happy with. I have worn them everyday since then. =)

Well, my wonderful husband decided to suprise me and purcharsed the camera for me with part of his christmas bonus. What a guy....have I told you how wonderful he is and how lucky I am?? I was totally caught off guard. I have taken about 150 pictures so far and it is abso-freakin-lutely UH-MAZING!!!! I cannot wait to put some of these pics up. This camera has so many gadgets and functions on it, it is definitely going to take some time to figure them out. The lady at the store said they offer classes on how to use it...classes really? I'm a big girl, I think I can figure it out. =)

Needless to say.....I AM IN LOVE!!

Bye Bye Boobie....

I would like to bid a farewell to my boobie milk. Yes...we have decided it is time for a change. Together, we have made our goal of exclusively breastfeeding for almost a year. For the last almost 12 months, it has been the bulk of Keagan's food supply. But, we are moving on to bigger and better things. Thank you for you doing your job boobs, it was much appreciated.

You can now go away milk...we no longer need your services.=)

Just wanted to post a picture of the best birthday present ever. I have had my eyes on these crazy shoes for some time now. But, everytime I intend on getting them, I find something I would rather buy for Chris, Farren, or Keagan. Its just so much more fun to buy things I think they would like. It warms my heart. So, anyways, Chris and Farren went shopping last week and this is what they gave me for my birthday.

My little stinker is standing up!!

What a big girl! I was wrapping presents the other night and Keagan ofcourse was helping. =) She started getting in her gorilla crawl stance and low and behold she continuously pulled herself to the standing position! I grabbed my camera as quick as possible and this is what I got. My big girl is growing up on me.....tear. =) But its so stinkin cute!

A few updates....

So... Farren's first practice is going to be next week for basketball and we are getting really excited! I got talked in to coaching this year...so I and Ron Franklin(you may remember him as your choir teacher at Boswell) will be heading up the girls this year. I can't wait to see how this turns out.=) Farren and Don's daughter are in school together and they are so excited. I'm glad she is getting excited about playing. I can't wait to watch and coach her!

On another note...keagan has started playing peek a boo behind, around, and underneath anything that she can hide....and it is soooo stinkin cute. She says "hi" until you repeat it back. So please say HI back to my sweet baby. And when you ask her to show her teeth...she snarls her face up and grins really big so you can see her little teefies! It is soooo cute!! She is standing on her own, we are just waiting for her to take a step....its only a matter of time. And a funny thing, she has discovered her tongue. She wants to lick everything...ewww!! And she tries to play with mine and daddys tongue!! She is getting so big!!

We had an amazing suprise party for her this weekend. She was sooooo suprised and everything went off splendidly!! We had good people, good food, good music, good dessert, good presents, and an overall good time. Thank you to everyone for helping us get everything set up and getting her there. And thank you to everyone who brought the yummy food. =)

And thank you to all of the people who showed up.

And lastly, thank you for letting us have 80 wonderful years with my grannie....and 80 more to come!!!

Delayed Thanksgiving.....

I'm a slacker this week, so I know these are late. =) But oh well...what can I say. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know we did and we definitely had much to give thanks for. Now we begin the countdown to my birthday, christmas, and then Miss Keagans 1st birthday!! How exciting....I can't flippin wait!!! Although, I am really really sad they we aren't putting a tree up this year. =( We are in a smaller rent house until our house is finished being built, and well...we just don't have enough room. We did already decorate the outside though...a couple of weeks ago. So, I guess that will just have to do.
