28 weeks...

Check out that forearm!!
He is going to be strong just like his daddy!!
And Deakon's little face....

How your baby's growing:By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Update: We are starting the 3rd trimester...yay! I'm so excited, we are getting so close to being able to meet our little man! We had an appt and sono on friday to check his growth and make sure that my blood pressure isn't causing any growth restriction. He weighed in at 2 pounds and 6 ounces...and looks perfect! He is a very strong little boy...mommy can tell by the kicks. He is head down and really really low. She had a really hard time trying to get a picture of Deakon's face. He is playing peek a boo behind my pelvic bones and tummy. On to my appt...it went ok. My blood pressure is still up...156/97...I tried to explain that unless I am laying down on my left side it is nowhere close to normal. So, instead of putting me in the hospital yet, we are going to try Procardia. I took this medicine with Keagan, but man, I forgot the horrible headaches it gave me until today...yuck. There are still only traces of protein in my urine...so he is just keeping an eye on that. We go back next friday for another appt. We will do weekly appts and bi weekly sono's from here on out. And will scedule a c section for 37 weeks. So...only 9 weeks left...thats it

Cheesin for the camera!!
My stinker is 17 months old. Already. Wow. I can't believe how much time has past since I first held her. She is growing like a weed mentally and physically. We went back to the doctor today for a check up to make sure her ear infection was gone and she weighed 21 pounds and was 30 1/2 inches tall! She is big and little all at the same time. Her new favorite breakfast food is oatmeal, but she still loves waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, eggs, and pop tarts too. She really really likes chicken, diced up carrots, corn, peas, noodles, spaghetti, ramen noodles, hamburger helper, potatoes, and mac and cheese for dinner time. Her new favorite word is "thank you" and I could listen to her say this all day long. She says it when she hands you something or when somethign is done for her or she does something for you. It is the cutest thing in the world! Some of her other favorite words are ming ming, duck, oh yeah, yes, no, bye bye, momma, dada, meme, drink, bite, night night, tee tee, and uh uh. She is so funny and sweet all the at the same time. She can sign and tell you what she wants or show you if she needs to. She understands small commands and will retrieve items you ask her to get. She now has two blankies....hers and one that was suppose to be for her brother. But, she has taken it over. =) She loves Finding Nemo, and Monstes Inc., and could watch them all day over and over. She loves bath time and takes them by herself, with mommy, and with daddy. We catch her climbing in the tub every time we get ready to take a shower. She loves to have her toenails painted. They are blue with white flowers right now....just like mommys. She goes to bed on her own and chooses if she wants mommy or daddy to put her to bed at night. She is sleeping about 11 hours at night and about 2 1/2 hours during the day. She loves to cheese for the camera....hence, the last picture. She loves to help with laundry, and will pull things out for me one at a time. I could ramble on forever...so I will just say that she is sucha a good baby and so much fun and joy to be around. We love you little stinker!!

I can't wait to watch our little ones grow up together!

27 weeks...

How your baby's growing:This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.
Update: Well, as I noted yesterday, I am on bedrest now. I will be going back weekly and doing weekly sono's to check Deakon's growth...so that is a plus. I will get to see my little munchkin every week. I have settled more into the idea of bedrest today...yesterday I was a little upset. But, it is for the bedrest. So...I am doing my best to be a good girl and abide by it. =) We are so excited though, it just means we are one step closer to getting to meet our little munchkin!!

Why Why Why??

My body doesn't want to cooperate. My appt was today and my blood pressure the first go round was 156/100....so, they had me lay on my left side to see if that would help. After about 10 minutes they checked it again....148/98. Better, but not by much. So....guess what that means? If you are guessing bedrest, you are right. Damn you. Just like clockwork, my body goes into this frenzy where my blood pressure starts to sky rocket. This is the same exact week that I begin having problems with Farren and Keagan both. Damn body...Damn blood pressure. I was really hoping to avoid the whole bedrest scenario for a little longer. I do have a 17 month old....how in the world is that going to work????? I guess we will see and manage. Nothing we can't get through. We are aiming for 37 weeks now. So...only 10 more weeks. And we are going to have weekly appts and growth scans from now on. So....we will see. Only time will tell.....

Fishing trip 2009

We left at 11:45 thursday night, and arrived in Port Aransas around 7:00 a.m., after a long and very uncomfortable trip. No laying room, no where to put your head, no where to sleep!! But we made it! Since we couldn't check into our camp site until 8:00, we decided to go straight to the beach. We walked the beach and just enjoyed the morning breeze! Right at 8:00, we left to go check in and get our camper set up. Instead of napping at this point, everyone had pretty much caught there second wind.....so off to wade fishing. We got our license and went to a pretty secluded part of the island and wade fished for about 2 hours. Then we fished off the dock for a little bit. After a few fish, we decided it was time for lunch and a nap! So, we ate a sandwhich and heading to bed for a quick nap. We slept for about 4 hours....the max my bladder can go while pregnant....and got up and got ready for some grub! We grilled some hamburgers and hot dogs, then loaded up to go night fishing off the pier! We ended up sitting here for about 4 hours and caught probably 50 fish! We only could keep about 15 of them. But still....its so much more fun when you are catching them. We would of stayed longer, but we had to be at the docks at 6:45 in the morning for our deep sea fishing trip...so we decided to turn in about midnight. Which ended up being 1:00 because of the hour ferry ride back to camp. Anywho, 5:45 came early and we were up and ready to go. We stopped at WHATABURGER on the way....which turned out to be a big mistake later. =) Once at the docks, we were told that I was misinformed and could not go on the boat due to my preggo status. Boo...this means 6 hours alone for me. =( So, everyone was off and I was back to camp. I watched Step Brothers...and by that time the shops were open. So, momma was off to do some shopping. I ended up finding some really cute stuff for the kiddos. Around 1:00 I headed back to the docks to pick up the gang. They ended up catching 210 pounds of fish: kingfish, ling, and shark. They were throwing fish back they had so many. The deckhand said that was something they hoped to catch in a 12 hour trip, not a 6 hour~ so needless to say, there trip was spectacular!! The other boat that went out only caught like 2 or 3 fish. However, there were some casualties, Chris and Audra ended up sea sick and slept half of the trip! This left Shane and Jeff with all the work.
After we had our fish cleaned, we got cleaned up and heading to a place where they cook some of your fish for you. It was AWESOME!!
We turned in after dinner for a good nights rest and headed back the next morning when everyone awoke. It was nice to be home!!
