Wedding....

I will have to update about the wedding later when the photographer publishes photos, but wanted to put up  a few pics from the day. It was awesome, I'm so happy for my sister and new bro-in-law. =)

Working it out....

I found the cutest shoes in the world for Keagan for my sisters wedding. I brought them home to show her and she absolutely fell in love with them. I heard her rustling around in her room to find her getting them out of the "pretty pink box" they came in and getting them on her feet. After she had them on, she decided she needed a princess dress to go with her princess shoes. So she came back out with a princess dress. Then she decided she needed her pearls and tiara. She cracks me up! Such a little diva! Seeing her in her shoes made Bubba decide he needed his fancy shoes on too. So he joined the mix and strutted around in his wedding shoes and unders. :)

Can't wait for Friday for my honey to get home, and then Saturday is my sisters wedding!

Pre Wedding Fun!

Saturday we had a full day of fun. Grannie came by the house about 9:30 to pick the babies up and take them to the farm with her. After seeing them off, Jamie and I were off to the mall to exchange and find her a shirt for the day. After a little bit of retail therapy, we were off to Humperdinks to meet the rest of the group! We had lunch and the group had these crazy tower things of beer. I kid you not these things were 4 feet tall full of beer! We headed to Lone Star Park for the horse races after lunch. I had never been, and this was so fun. I can't wait to go back again! Especially, now that i understand what all the bets mean and how to bet them. =) Around 5:00, we left there and headed out to Dicks Last Resort. This was probably my favorite part of the day. This place is absolutely hilarious and was so much fun. Everyone was heading to the West End to go party after dinner, and me being the old fogie that I am, headed home. I made myself a low carb coke float, crawled in bed, and watched forensic files to fall asleep. I was EXHAUSTED. I have not been out and about running around like that in forever! It was so much fun though, and I can't wait till the wedding gets here this weekend!

The ins and outs....

So, daddy left on Tuesday to go out of town for work. He will be in Lubbock until the 11th. Coming back for my sisters wedding on the 12th, and then off to Amarillo on the 14th. Its really weird for him to be gone. Prior to this, the longest we had been away from each other i think was 2 or 3 days? So, its just been me and my kiddos. Tuesday night, Farren and I decided to make a concoction of our own for dinner. Seasoned some chicken and fried it up with some cream of chicken and rotel. Layered a dish with tortillas, some beans, our chicken mix, then cheese, and repeated. Turned out fabulous! Wednesday, she decided she wanted to cook. So she made some low carb penne pasta casserole. It was delish as well. So much so, that we had it last night for leftovers. =) Last night the kids helped me and cleaned mommys car. Washed, oiled, vacuumed, and armor-alled everything. Its so purdy!!! Then we decided to have puzzle night. Deakon doesn't have much of an attention span, but one thing he will sit and do for hours is puzzles. Keagan likes them just as much, especially when they are Rapunzel or Princess. =)

Anywho, this weekend we are pretty busy. Shopping tonight with Jamie, and a full day of fun tomorrow for my sister and her soon to be hubby's bachelorette\bachelor party. I can't wait. I even bought a new dress. Well, actually four. They were only 8 bucks at Ross.

Also, i haven't put much on here about it. But I started dieting in February for my sisters wedding. I decided I didn't want to be as fat as I was in pictures that were going to be around forever, ha! But as of today, I am down 34 pounds and super excited about it.

New Hair....

Just thought I would post a couple pictures of my hair. My sister in law came over last weekend and we added some color to my hair. Decided to be brave and do something a little funky for me! I love the way it turned out though. =)

A little bit of this, and a little bit of that....

So, this has been a pretty busy week. I started physical therapy for my knee on Monday and will have to go twice a week for now. Boy is it going to be rough stretching that thing back out and getting to using it like my other leg. You never realize how much you take a leg for granted until you don't have one, ha! Anyways, then I had my sisters final fitting for her wedding dress on Tuesday. She is going to look amazing!!!! I can't wait for next week for her bridal portraits to see how beautiful she looks with everything together.  Wednesday we had steaks and cleaned around the house. Thursday I went to the Ranger game with my work for a team building event! I love my company, they are the best place to work for! Thursday night worked on a cake and cake balls for work on Friday. And tonight, my sister in law is coming over to work on up do's for my hair for my sisters wedding. Hopefully, I will get some laundry in some time this weekend, because my clean pile is getting a little out of control!!! I am super stoked, as of today its only 19 more days until my sisters wedding. I am so happy for her and her husaband "to be". I love both of you guys so much!! Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. I really need to get some easter pics up. Maybe i can squeeze that in this weekend too. We will see. =)

Love my seeester!!!

With my sisters wedding day fast approaching, it was time for us to do the bridal shower! One of my favorite things to do is plan parties, an this one was no different. We rented out a party room at Oscars off of Denton Highway. This saved me the stress of having to make sure every crevice of my house was clean, and allowed me to focus solely on the shower. Her colors are lilac and a darker purple. And the shower was the same! I swear it looked like someone threw up purple in my car! I was very pleased with how everything turned out that I made, and came together. We had an awesome turn out and lots of games and prizes! It was a wonderful time with friends and family. I can NOT wait for the big day to get here, and could NOT be happier for my sister!!!

Fun Fun Fun!!

A couple of things...

Still recovering from my surgery, but definitely getting better. I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic I was on to make sure I didn't get an infection.  My lips broke out in blisters, and my skin broke out in a rash, making me skin feel like sandpaper when it started to scab over. YUCK!!! But luckily its going away. I had my 2 week check up yesterday and he said my body must heal itself quickly, because my knee looks more like 3-4 weeks out then two. I had been doing my exercises he gave me and said my extension for two weeks was great. I am now able to put weight on my foot and he said I can work myself off of the crutches over the next two weeks. Once i feel comfortable walking without crutches, i can loose the brace. So, I'm down to one crutch today! Saw pics of my knee pre surgery and he said they did a joint test after I fell asleep where they take pics and use for learning purposes for students. And he said my knee literally popped out of socket whenever he would bend it. Ouch! Anywho, I'm just glad to be on the mend. You never really realize how much you use\need a leg until you do not have one! =)

Also, our doggy added a 3 new faces to our household 3 weeks ago. They are pretty much some of the cutest little faces I have ever seen. =)

Momma's Surgery...

I've been lacking in the blog area. I had to have surgery on my knee and its a little on the difficult side to find the time between crutching around, work, my babies, my husband, and working on cakes. I tore my ACL a couple of years ago. But recently my knee collapsed some due to it, and starting causing some problems with my hip. So, my doctor suggested that it was time to get the knee fixed. They repaired my ACL and reconstructed it with cadaver tendons, scraped some arthritis and scar tissue out, and found  a couple tears in my meniscus that needed to be repaired. OUCH! Boy have i been in some pain. I am hoping that being a leg down doesn't hinder my life for to much longer. You never know how much you need 2 legs until you only have 1! Anyway, i'm feeling ok for now. I had an allergic reaction to one of the meds that made my lip blister up and my face break out. But, it seems to be getting better! Hopefully, i can get some pictures downloaded and on here soon. Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Birthday, in memory of....

Today is one of the saddest\happiest days in our lives. Its hard to believe we now greive on a day that we used to celebrate as one of the best days of the year and used to bring so much happiness. Today, Mike, Farren's dad, would have been 34 years old. And god given, it would have been our 8 year anniversary. It saddens me to know that my daughter is in so much pain on this day and that she only got 8, almost 9 short years with him. That could never be long enough. He is forever in our hearts and in our thoughts. We try to talk about him often. And there are so many traits in her that are a spitting image of him. Its crazy how much she is like him without his influence being here in person. I miss and think of his family often on this day, and thank god that I still have a relationship with them. They will forever be the only people I think will understand the feelings that come with this day. I hope Mike understands how much he was loved, and how much is truly missed here on this earth. What I wouldn't give to be able to call him and have him make me laugh.

Keagans 4 year check up!



Can't believe my little stinker turned 4 already. I just realized that I never posted her check up info, so better late then never right? Anywho, she did amazing at the doctor, I was so proud of her. They had a Kinect in the waiting room, so she was able to play "Kinect Adventures" while we were waiting. Once back they weighed her in at 34 pounds and she was 39.5 inches tall. =) She is perfectly proportionate according to Dr. Yee. She did have to get 5 shots. =( But she took them like a champ and only shed a brief tear while they were giving them to her. Afterwards, she gladly took her sucker, (and one for bubba), and we were on our way. Later, she decided that she deserved Bubba's sucker since she several 'boo-boo's" on her legs. So, she had two suckers for the day. I still can't believe my little stinker has grown up so much!
