36 weeks....

Went to the doctor yesterday, and everything is looking good. It's probably not going to be any sooner than the 28th. My cervix is thinning but I am not dilated at all. So, we go back for our final appointment next Wednesday on the 26th, and then we are scheduled for surgery at 2:15 on the 28th!! Yay, I can't wait!! Chris, Farren, and I are so excited and can't wait for her to finally be here and be able to hold her in our arms. I think Farren is going to make a great big sister, there is a hint of jealousy, but hopefully once she's here, that will pass! We have been so blessed to have this experience and I am really going to miss feeling her move around in my belly. It's something I have gotten used to over the last few months!

Our date is set....

So, followed up with the doctor on Tuesday, and the 28th is the day. We will be having a scheduled c section on the December 28th!! Woohooo....only 13 days away. That is, unless, my water breaks or we have any other complications between now and then. Which, I'm pretty sure we will be fine.....I'm not really that lucky. Plus, we need her to wait that long so we can make sure that her lungs are developed. We are so excited that she's almost here and are just counting down the days. It will be a nice relief to be able to hold her and not have to take anymore meds!! We are going back to the doctor on the 18th, and will be sure to post any new updates. Stay tuned, have a new pregnant pic, just need to download it. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Almost time!!

So, I went back to the doctor on friday, and my blood pressure was 172\110....my doctor immediately freaked and sent across to the hospital. So, now I'm laying in a hospital bed waiting to find out what they are going to do. They did a fetal monitoring exam on the baby, and my blood pressure doesn't seem to be affecting her growth, sometimes high blood pressure damages the placenta, causing the baby not to grow or get enough oxygen. So, good! We passed that. They are collecting my urine (gross) for 24 hours to check it for protein. They have already done blood tests to check my liver enzyme levels, platelettes, and some other things I didn't really understand. They have upped my blood pressure medicine twice to see if my body will respond to it. Dr. Hardie is hoping that he will be able to keep me pregnant another week or two, but at the absolute latest it will be the 28th!! Need to make sure her lungs are developed, but if the risks are higher to keep me pregnant then they are to deliver her, she will be here before then! Anyway, wish us luck and please pray for our little to develop her lungs as quickly as possible!!

She's almost here....

So, I had another appointment and sono today. The baby is doing good and growing big!! She is over 5 pounds now. However, my blood pressure is still high even with the medicine. Have to go back friday to have it checked and then again on Tuesday. My blood pressure will depend on when Keagan gets here. The doctor says at the latest it will be the 28th, but with my blood pressure the way it is, it will probably be sooner. We may be having a christmas baby!! Also, my cervix is effacing...so she is ready to come out one way or another!! I'll be sure to keep you updated and let everyone know how it goes on Friday!!
