36 weeks....

Went to the doctor yesterday, and everything is looking good. It's probably not going to be any sooner than the 28th. My cervix is thinning but I am not dilated at all. So, we go back for our final appointment next Wednesday on the 26th, and then we are scheduled for surgery at 2:15 on the 28th!! Yay, I can't wait!! Chris, Farren, and I are so excited and can't wait for her to finally be here and be able to hold her in our arms. I think Farren is going to make a great big sister, there is a hint of jealousy, but hopefully once she's here, that will pass! We have been so blessed to have this experience and I am really going to miss feeling her move around in my belly. It's something I have gotten used to over the last few months!

Our date is set....

So, followed up with the doctor on Tuesday, and the 28th is the day. We will be having a scheduled c section on the December 28th!! Woohooo....only 13 days away. That is, unless, my water breaks or we have any other complications between now and then. Which, I'm pretty sure we will be fine.....I'm not really that lucky. Plus, we need her to wait that long so we can make sure that her lungs are developed. We are so excited that she's almost here and are just counting down the days. It will be a nice relief to be able to hold her and not have to take anymore meds!! We are going back to the doctor on the 18th, and will be sure to post any new updates. Stay tuned, have a new pregnant pic, just need to download it. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Almost time!!

So, I went back to the doctor on friday, and my blood pressure was 172\110....my doctor immediately freaked and sent across to the hospital. So, now I'm laying in a hospital bed waiting to find out what they are going to do. They did a fetal monitoring exam on the baby, and my blood pressure doesn't seem to be affecting her growth, sometimes high blood pressure damages the placenta, causing the baby not to grow or get enough oxygen. So, good! We passed that. They are collecting my urine (gross) for 24 hours to check it for protein. They have already done blood tests to check my liver enzyme levels, platelettes, and some other things I didn't really understand. They have upped my blood pressure medicine twice to see if my body will respond to it. Dr. Hardie is hoping that he will be able to keep me pregnant another week or two, but at the absolute latest it will be the 28th!! Need to make sure her lungs are developed, but if the risks are higher to keep me pregnant then they are to deliver her, she will be here before then! Anyway, wish us luck and please pray for our little to develop her lungs as quickly as possible!!

She's almost here....

So, I had another appointment and sono today. The baby is doing good and growing big!! She is over 5 pounds now. However, my blood pressure is still high even with the medicine. Have to go back friday to have it checked and then again on Tuesday. My blood pressure will depend on when Keagan gets here. The doctor says at the latest it will be the 28th, but with my blood pressure the way it is, it will probably be sooner. We may be having a christmas baby!! Also, my cervix is effacing...so she is ready to come out one way or another!! I'll be sure to keep you updated and let everyone know how it goes on Friday!!

Getting closer....

Went to the doctor again today, my blood pressure was 140\90!! Not great but much better then where it has been. Looks like the medicine seems to be working. Swelling a little bit more, but nothing to bad. Doctor says as long as everything stays the same, he is going to deliver our little princess a couple of days after christmas. Thank goodness, hopefully we won't have to be in the hospital on christmas!! So, we have three more appointments and then we will schedule a c section to take our little one!! Yeah, there is an end in sight to bedrest!!

Everything is good!

Went back to the doctor on Friday after starting the blood pressure medicine, and it seems to be doing the trick. Lots of blood work, monitoring, urine tests, and blood pressure checks. Everything came back pretty good, so I should be able to stay pregnant for a little while longer!!Yeah!! I go back on tuesday, and hopefully we get the same results!! Everyday helps for our little one to get stronger and stronger!!

Not much longer....

Went back to the doctor today, blood pressure is still high, 163\105. The doctor seemed to have some sympathy for me and the thanksgiving holiday coming up. Instead of putting me in the hospital, he has prescribed a last attempt medicine to control my blood pressure. Hopefully, this medicine will help lower my blood presssure. I have to go back to the maternal observation and see a specialist on Friday(after thanksgiving, Yeah!!) who is going to check my blood pressure and do a liver enzyme test. HOPEFULLY, this medince will do the trick, if not I will have to be admitted in the hospital. If we make past friday, we go back on Tuesday for another weekly round up of tests. Again, hopefully the medicine will do the trick. If my blood pressure stays high or goes up one number, Dr. Hardie says its hospital time. We are still a little early, so if needed they can do steriod shots to help Keagan's lungs mature. If all goes well, keep your fingers crossed, he is aiming for December 22nd. Although, he doesn't sound very confident about making it that long! =) All in all, we are moving along. She weighs about 4 pounds 3 ounces now! So grow baby grow!!

Merry Christmas!!

I guess not everyone is as in to Christmas as me and my family are!! We put up our decorations about a week ago and have continuously got the "You know its still November right?" My parents loved it, however, my step dad won't let me my put anything up till after thanksgiving, bahumbug! And my uncle won't let me grandma either! WHAT is wrong with these people!! So, Farren and I went to look and see if anyone else had christmas lights up last night....and out of about 3 neighborhoods, we found one, thats right, one house! I was seriously crushed. We were forced to drive by our house to look at our own. Oh well, maybe we will rub off on people next year!

Getting big....

So, it seems both of my girls are getting so big. I posted this picture of Farren, my little grown up! She is getting bigger and bigger everyday. I don't realize it until I see pics of her when she was little or until I see all the baby things we have for Keagan, and realize Farren was once that little. She turned ten this year and I can't believe how quickly its gone by. My little baby is turning into a little girl and has plans all the time....typical pre-teen i guess. Just takes some getting used to, along with the attitude!! I do cherish every moment though of watching her grow up and can't wait to do the same with Keagan. Who, on another note, is now up to 4 pounds!! So big!! My blood pressure was still high, but my doctor is taking into consideration that I had to get out of bed to get there and I was not lying down when he took it. The bedrest is really helping though, I have only gained 1 pound in 3 weeks, compared to the two weeks prior to bedrest when I was swelling like crazy and gained 8 pounds. Some "level" in my blood was low that shows my kidneys are having a hard time filtering out protien and its spilling into my urine. So along with the sonograms, blood pressure, and urine test each and every week, we are adding blood work to the agenda!! Yippee!! As long as nothing gets worse, Dr. Hardie is aiming to keep her in there until December 22, the same day I was due! So, hopefully my body will cooperate with these wishes. Until next time....tata....

Doctor

Back to the doctor today! So, today is my first appointment since I got out of the hospital. I'm a little nervous that they are going to put me back in the hospital. As long as I am laying down my blood pressure seems to be fine, but the minute I sit up, it seems to sky rocket. So, its obviously going to be high from the trip to the doctor. Let's just hope he keeps this in mind, I can't handle hospital food for that long. I will be sure to let everyone know what happens! Keep your thoughts and prayers with us, we don't want Keagan to come to early!

Keagan's room....

So, we are almost finished with Keagan's room, which is great since my doctor told me this week she will definitely be here early. He wants to try to make it to at least 35 or 36 weeks. But, I wanted to put up some pics of what her room looks like!

Farren's Tournament

So, this past weekend, my little slugger had a softball tournament and they took first place! It was an awesome tournament and they went 5-0 to take the championship game. Each and every little girl played their hearts out and deserved this! The won the championship game by a mercy rule 10-0! It was great! Congratulations Farren, you did awesome!!

30 Weeks

We are over 30 weeks along! We will be 31 weeks on Saturday! Only a few more weeks to go. Farren had a tournament this weekend, which they took first place, and a baby shower on Sunday. Apparently, this was to much time on my feet, I'm suppose to be on bedrest. So, Tuesday when I went in for my appointment, the doctor sent me straight to the hospital because my blood pressure was 160\100. We are home now but on strict bedrest from now till the end. He wants to try to keep me pregnant for about 4-6 more weeks. Keep your thoughts with us!
