Wow, when do i quit counting in weeks?? Its been 22 weeks and it just seems crazy to me. I can't believe how much time has gone by. Speaking of time passing, my big baby girl, Farren Layne, is about to turn 11....yes, I know, take a moment...........11 years old!! Really?
Where has the time gone?
Well, its been a whirlwind of events the last couple of weeks in our household. We are trying to get prepared for Farren's birthday party, get the invitations ready to send out, decorations, and all the arrangements done. It seems like every year it has to be bigger and better, and a little more stressful on mom and the ol' pocket book. Anywho, Mommy has been sick....boo. Yes, sick. Or maybe just run down with allergies. I've been running fever, coughing, feeling achy, and not to mention that I haven't taken a breath out of both nostrils at the SAME time in a while. Mom can tough it out, right? Well, now my little Keaganbear is a sickling. I woke up yesterday to hear choking because she could not breathe out of her nose. Poor baby, *insert tear*. Thus far, we have been pretty lucky, she hasn't been sick at all in the first months. Well I called the doctor and they told me I could give her some benadryl for her cough and nose, it should dry her up. But when I realized she was also running fever and just not acting like her sweet little self, I decided to take her in. Well, she isn't missing any meals!! She now weighs 14 pounds 10 ounces!! Little chunker. Anyways, the doctor came in to examine her and decided that she has bronchulitis, and she may have asthma. Blah, the only thing the poor baby got from her momma was allergies and asthma. I feel terrible!! So, she now has to have breathing treatments every 6 hours. Also, she is a slight ear infection in both ears, not one, BOTH!!! I had alot of problems with Farren's ears, and I was really hoping this didn't filter down to Keagan. Wishful thinkin on my part I guess. We did decide to do a flu test while we were there to be on the safe side, and not only does the poor baby have bronchulitis, and a double ear infection, she has the stinking FLU! The doctor decided to give her a breathing treatment and a steriod shot while we were there. She seems to do ok with the breathing treatment, not so much with the steriod shot. We did purchase a breathing machine from the doctor and he provided us with the medicine to put in it. She will have to take an antibiotic and flu medicine for the next ten days. So, needless to say, we are at home. But after the steriod shot, you can already see a big improvement. So, wish us luck, I think we are already heading in the right direction!
And Happy 5 Months to my little stinker!!
Hope you guys enjoy our pictures for the last couple of weeks.
