15 months....

Keagan had her 15 month check up today....wow, how the time flies by. I cannot even begin to explain to you how quickly the last couple of months have gone by. Anyway, she weighed in at 20 pounds and 2 ounces....a little less then what she was at 12 months. But the doctor attributes it to the fact that she pretty much runs everywhere. She is a busy little bee, that child of mine. She is all over the place, in to everything, standing and climbing on anything she possibly can, and ofcourse running! So, needless to say, she has lost some baby weight. She is 30 1/2 inches tall. She is apparently a little on the small size for her age, but perfect. =)
Some things going on with her right now are......
Her knew favorite movie is madagascar 2, and we watch it at least 1 or 2 times a day. She has started saying "gone gone" when her drink or food is gone. She is following small commands, like get that or get this, or bring this to mommy, handing us her cup if she is thirsty. Her new love is grapes!! She has a bag on the lower shelf of our fridge so she can help herself. She has almost ate the whole bag alone! Dancing is by far still her favorite. She dances in the car when she hears a song she likes, to the music on her movies, to our ring tones on our phones...and its usually a booty shaking dance move. She knows where our eyes, nose, teeth, and ears are and will point to them when asked. She has picked up a new shyness around strangers...and buries her head in my shoulder while shooting up glances at them. She is starting to test our patience!! When she is told not to do something, she will look at us right before doing it again to see what we will do. She knows how to turn her movie on and the volume. She knows what her pockets are for, and is putting stuff in there off of daddy's nightstand. She can say and show the number one with her hand. She loves to point at stuff and say "Whats that?"
I think thats enough for now. She is such a little stinkin joy.
Happy 15 months little booger!!!

19 weeks...

How your baby's growing:Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

Update....

So, I have been asked several times why I'm not posting as much, so I figured I should address this question. First off, we have been extremely busy!! But the main reason is my stinking computer charger broke on me! I ordered a new one and it got here and worked for about 5 minutes and crashed on me....arggghhh!!! So, I sent it back because they believe it is defective. I can update on Farren's computer, which I am doing now, but her computer has different programs, and well she is normally on it. =) They should be sending me another one, so hopefully I will be back up in business soon enough. We were extremely busy last weekend, and this weekend is looking the same. We are traveling 3 hours for a wedding on saturday and then 3 hours back that night...fun. And then Sunday, Erin and I are throwing Sharie's baby shower. Which should be loads of fun!! This week we have all been working and helping Sharie paint at there new house!! Also, we have decided that we are taking an off shore fishing trip for Chris's birthday in Port Aransas. This will be our second one, and we are sooooo excited! If you have never done this and enjoy fishing, you should definitely try to do this at least once! Anywho, hope everyone is having a great week!

18 weeks....

By week 18 of your pregnancy, your baby's crown-to-rump length is 5 to 5.5 inches long. Your baby continues to develop fat layers and weighs about 5.25 ounces. Your baby will continue to grow and develop, but the rapid growth will slow down for a little while. You will be able to feel your uterus just below your bellybutton. If you put your fingers sideways to measure, you can feel your uterus about two finger-widths below your bellybutton. At this point of your pregnancy, your uterus is approximately the size of a cantaloupe. Although weight gain varies from woman to woman, your total weight gain at this point should be 10 to 13 pounds. At this time if you had an ultrasound, heart abnormalities can be detected. If the ultrasound technician detects abnormalities, further ultrasound exams may be ordered to follow the baby's development. There is still space available in your uterus and your baby will be active for periods at a time. Your baby may sit cross legged or turn somersaults. Around this time, your baby becomes more sensitive to the outside world and shows her presence through powerful kicks and prods. The bones through which sound is passed to the inner ear have hardened and the parts of the brain that receives and processes nerve signals from the ears are developing. This means that your baby can hear now. Your baby will get used to familiar sounds, such as your heart beating, familiar voices, blood rushing through the umbilical cord and other daily routine sounds. Your baby will become startled if he hears a loud sound. If you have a stethoscope at home, you can now hear the baby's heartbeat yourself.

Update: Wow, 18 weeks already, we are almost half way there. This pregnancy seems to just be flying by. I can't believe how far we have already come. I am still feeling really good! Its amazing how true it is when they say that every pregnancy is different! I think my stomach is finally starting to show. Well to us it is anyway, Chris is so excited that he can tell I am pregnant now. I guess not everyone can, because I went to two baby showers last weekend and got offered alcohol at both. =) I kindly objected. =) I do think our little guy is smaller than Keagan was at this point, because I'm not as big as I was with her. But I guess its about time to start showing belly pictures....because I know how much everyone loves them!!

Busy Busy....

So, this week is Spring Break for Farren, and we have pretty much been busy all week long. Last week was Spring Break for my neice and nephew, so they came up Friday and spent the weekend with us!! We had lots of fun and it was nice to get to spend some time with them. This week we have made wedding invitations for Chris's sister, a diaper cake, ALOT of washcloth lolliepop's, and some easter baskets. We have gone to the mall to shop for Keagan an Easter dress, Farren some new school clothes, and Chris some birthday stuff. Oh, and we have watched Madagascar 2 about 22 times, Keagan's new favorite. =) It has been a really fun week. Last night Kyle, Jessica, Riley, Wendi, Aumora, Nicole, and Jillybean all came over for dinner and hung out for a while. It was alot of fun!!
Anyway, here are a few pics from the last couple of days!!

17 weeks....

This is one of our actual sono pictures at 17 weeks....
How Big is the Baby at 17 Weeks Pregnant?Your baby is anywhere from 4.4 to 4.8 inches by pregnancy week 17 and weighs almost 3 ½ ounces! If you were to hold your baby at 17 weeks pregnant, she would fit snuggly in the palm of your hand. Your baby is about the size of a small pomegranate by pregnancy 17 weeks.
Your Baby's Growth and DevelopmentYour baby during week 17 is now very mobile, gleefully moving his joints here, there and everywhere and will continue to do so as you continue your pregnancy week by week. The cartilage making up the skeleton in your baby's body is starting to transform into bone. At pregnancy 17 weeks time your baby should be hearing things. Your baby will start putting on some layers of fat in the weeks to come, though at this point in time your baby is made up of primarily water.
You may be feeling your baby move intermittently after pregnancy week 17, though as your pregnancy progresses you will likely start feeling your baby move more and more.
There are many natural health practitioners that believe in the power of touch. Though your little one is still very small, your touch may do much to help him feel safe and warm inside the womb. If you haven't started already, you might consider rubbing your 'pooch' in calming circular motions. This will not only help comfort your little one, but will help initiate the bonding process with you and your newborn baby throughout your pregnancy and after.
Other women find comfort when playing music to their unborn children. There is evidence suggesting that your baby responds to music even while in the womb. Thus, there is no harm in playing some calm and engaging music to your baby even while they are in the womb.
Update: We are doing awesome! I am feeling wonderful and haven't had any problems yet. Its so weird, I know each pregnancy is different, but wow, this one has been a complete 180 from the last one. Everything about it is different. But, we are getting a little boy this go round!! How exciting!! I still cannot express how excited we are. =)

Look out girls....

Here he comes!!

Update: Here is a part of the video.=) I was so extremely nervous, I thought I was recording only to find out that I wasn't when she asked me if I got "it" and our initial reaction. Booo....So, she was nice enough to do it again. If you listen closely you will hear her say that it is 100% BOY!!! YAYYYYYYYYYY!!! We are so very excited right now, I cannot even explain it. Chris has absolutely been on cloud nine since we found out. He immediately grabbed his phone, so you will also hear her tell him to get off the phone!! She was so nice. Words cannot describe this feeling, as amazing as it is to have a new baby growing inside of you, it makes it that more special when you are getting the opposite side of the spectrum. I don't even know the first thing about raising a boy, so this should be a whole new experience for all of us!!! Thank you to everyone for you comments, emails, and text!! You are too sweet, and we really appreciate them!

The BIG day....

Well, tomorrow is the BIG day. We are having our ultrasound to find out if we are going to have another precious girl or our first precious boy.....oh the anticipation is a killer. Actually, the last couple of weeks have gone by pretty fast. We have pretty much been busy every day it seems like. We DO have to wait all freakin day though, our appointment isn't until 4:30...argghhhhh. I can't wait to find out though. I have a gut feeling, but only time will tell. We will be happy either way, as long as our little stinker is happy and healthy. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great week. I guess I'll be writing again tomorrow with the update....stay tuned. =)

New Saturday Funday...

Some of our Sunday Funday work! = ) We painted Keagan's room in blocks to match her bedroom. Its in pretty pink and chocolate blocks. I love the way it turned out. We only did the one wall, all the walls would have been a bit too much. Also, here are some pictures of the newest addition to our family. Boy our family just keeps on growing. He is a purebred AKC English Bulldog from a champion bloodline. He has some pretty brindle coloring and a patch over his eye. Isn't he so cute???

16 weeks....

At this point of your pregnancy, your baby is approximately 4.3 to 4.6 inches long and weighs 2.8 ounces. Not only is your baby growing, your uterus and placenta continue to grow to accommodate the growing baby inside of you! Just six weeks ago, your uterus weighed about 5 ounces. This week it now weighs 8.75 ounces! The amniotic fluid that surrounds the baby is increasing and there is about 7.5 ounces of fluid. You will easily be able to feel your uterus approximately three inches below your navel. This is an important week for testing and you will most likely have an AFP test done. This is a harmless blood test that is done to detect abnormalities such as Down's syndrome or spina bifida. This is a non-invasive test and it carries no risk to your developing baby. Most doctors will offer the test, but in most cases it is completely optional. Your milk glands start production at this time and this causes some tenderness and swelling in early pregnancy. Your veins will become more visible because there is an increased amount of blood flowing to the breasts. Five and a half inches tall and only six ounces in weight. The child can grasp with his hands, kick, or even somersault. At this time, your baby is holding her head erect. Because her muscles are developing, she can make some faces now. Your baby is able to squint, frown and open its mouth. There is enough calcium in the bones that they will show up on an x-ray. Your baby's fingernails are well formed now and the legs are longer than the arms. Because your baby is moving well now, you may begin to feel his movements! Some women say that the early movements feel like gas bubbles or a slight flutter. If you have not yet felt the baby move, don't worry. Fetal movements are usually felt between the 16th and 20th week of pregnancy. You may feel your heart beating 'louder'. This is because there is a lot more blood in your body than normal. (about 20-25% more)
Update: I'm feeling pretty good still. Got a little of my energy back....FINALLY. We go to the doctor twice this week. Thursday we go for our ultrasound to find out what we are having!!! I'm so excited but a little nervous too!! Then Friday we go for our quad testing. Some bloodwork and a regular doctor visit. So, we should have a pretty exciting week. Its going to be a long wait until Thursday!!

A little outside time....

After Daddy's surgery, he was feeling suprisingly well, so we all headed outside for some play and work time. I just love watching my little stinker walk around the yard, its so big and she is so small, its just toooo cute. Farren decided she would practice with her volleyball while we were out there. And mommy and daddy worked on putting up rocks around our flower beds.

The aftermath....day 2

Well the swelling has gone down drastically but the bruising...oh goodness, it just looks uglier and worse everyday. Poor stinker.=(

Here are a few pictures from last night. She is doing pretty good. She is her normal little playful self, hasn't missed a beat. And she is still sleeping great!! Now we just wait for the coloring to go away....
This has just been an all round bad week. Farren had to go to the dentist yesterday and have 3 teeth pulled. She is in a little bit of pain today. Today, Chris is having a wisdom tooth cut out. I'm sure he is going to be out of commission for a couple days. My nephew, Austin, broke his finger yesterday playing basketball. Hopefully, this week will be over soon.=(
