20 weeks....

The 20th week of pregnancy brings you right in the middle of your pregnancy and you are in the middle of the second trimester which is one of the best periods as you do not face the difficulties of either stages of pregnancy and are quite comfortable with your pregnancy status by now. Traveling plans can be made at this stage however the precautions need to be taken about eating outside food as getting an infection at this stage can cause harm to the baby as well as you. You can start creating a birth plan giving details about your preferences for the birth of the baby and the procedure to be followed in a normal delivery or while handling complicated situations. A birth plan gives you confidence and helps you gain control of the situation in an emergency. You can start practicing relaxation by carrying out breathing exercises, massages, yoga under supervision or light exercises to relieve stress. If you have not done so by now you can conduct the pregnancy tests required for detecting abnormalities or defects. You can have a baby wellness kit ready which can include all information about the delivery and the baby as well as taking care of the baby in the initial stages after birth. This can prepare you for the delivery as well as keep you informed well in advance about what to expect.

Update: I'm still feeling really well. I'm so suprised still at how different this pregnancy has been from my others. I go back to the doctor on friday for a check and another sono, so we will get to see our little munchkin again!! That is by far my favorite part of being pregnant, is getting to see them in action in there. It's just so reassuring that everything is going the way it should be. Today marks another special day too....Its daddys birthday! That will have to be a totally different post though, as long as I can get the computer away from Farren and her two friends!! We have a pretty busy day planned. Farren has a game at 2:00 today so wish her some luck!! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. =)
